Wood badge Pattern

I won't go into great detail how I built my loom in this post but it is pretty simple. But the cardboard box one on this page is even simpler.

The first thing I did was stringing the loom. I ran a heavy thread for every row of beads plus one more. In this case it was 22 threads. The spring evenly spaced the threads as each coil of the spring held one thread. Next I threaded a long thin needle with some thread and tied the end to the first heavy thread in line. Looking at the pattern on the graph paper, I loaded up the needle with the beads I needed for that column. For example, 3 dark green, 3 green, 1 red, 3 green, 1 yellow, 3 green, 1 red, 3 green, and 3 dark green. Next I placed the treaded beads under the threads on the loom putting a bead between each heavy thread. Now bringing the needle over the top and passing it through the beads locking them in place. I repeat the process until I completed the piece. Now I know this is a bit hard to follow but I found this video that might help you understand.

Removing the work from the loom, I tied each of the heavy threads together individually with a square knot. (i.e. 1 to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 4, and so on) After tyeing both sides, I trimmed the threads to about 1/8 inch in length. Bringing the ends together, I sewed the knots together with needle and thread. Next I sealed the knots with super glue. When the glue was dry, I turned the loop inside out so the knots are now on the inside
